Finally after a year-long disappearance the Edmontonian album “Dispatches from the Cultural Deprivation Tank” reappears. Originally released on Digital Dizzy records until bandcamp unceremoniously dumped their entire label, killing off an estimated 500 to 2000 albums.

Dispatches From the Cultural Deprivation Tank, featuring 20 Edmonton artists, will be out soon on UK-based label digitalDIZZY.

But you have a chance to hear a preview of it.

The CD features tracks by Babysugarbag, Bong Sample, Crashing Lights, Damno Te, Norm de Plume, Fecal Point, Miguel Ferrer, Himiko, M20-2, Meowsers, Trixie Moon, Moonlanding, Motonogo, John Oparyk, Shawn Pinchbeck, Poster Tube Killer, Stephen Sereda, SkruntSkrunt, S’sE Sessions and Will Truchon.

The listening session is free and all-ages and runs from 7-9 p.m. A limited supply of the CD will also be available for sale.

After that, stick around to hear four of the CD’s live acts (S'sE Sessions, Himiko, Miguel Ferrer and Stephen Sereda) hit the stage from 9-11 p.m. Admission for this segment of the night is by donation and is for an 18+ audience.
